Experts in time management and personal development will tell you that setting goals, and putting them down in writing, is the key to achievement. I regularly jot down little task lists, and computers and smartphones have made those things easier to keep up with; longer term goals are even more important to write down. Of course, those small tasks add up to the big goals! It is great to be able to check on your goal lists every couple of months and see how well you are doing.
Goals in writing are dreams with deadlines.– Brian Tracy
I have a few goals for fall. I want to continue networking and guest posting, because I am meeting a lot of great bloggers, and I learn something new from each one. I have also decided I want to spend more time working on my blog, and bringing more good information to each of my readers. Procrastinator that I am, it helps to get involved with some other bloggers to keep me accountable, and to that end I have signed up with a group from The DailyPost. This is a great group of bloggers that help and support each other.
My goal is to post twice a week on this blog for the remainder of this year, and then re-evaluate at the end of December. (I’m hoping that I decide stepping it up even further makes sense at that point.)
I know it won’t be easy, but it might be fun and inspiring to think of something new, fresh, and creative to bring you every week! I promise to work with the community of bloggers, asking for help when needed, and supporting and encouraging others when I can. If you are a blogger, why not join us? If you haven’t yet gotten started, you can create a free WordPress blog today. A blog is an awesome place for a writer to start building an online presence.
If you already read my blog, I hope you will continue, and encourage me with comments and likes when I write something that is helpful or just plain fun to read. If there is something you’d like me to write about, or information you’d like ferreted out that has to do with my blog… feel free to let me know and I will do my best.
